Your utility bills arrive. Every time you open one, you roll your eyes at the three—sometimes four—figures in front of you. If you really want to enjoy the pool in your backyard, you’ll need to use either electricity or gas to heat it, won’t you?
Well no, actually. You can, of course, but that’s not the only way. If you’re happy to swim for about half the year and leave the other half for those who like to punish themselves with a wintry dash across their backyard, then you should have a think about solar pool heating.
It works by pumping water from your pool through the collector (tubes or panels) that are installed on your roof. As the water is circulated through them, it is heated naturally by the sun, before being pumped back into your pool.
